I'm the guy whose son installed (or at least he thought he did) the "Gold Package" for Farm Simulator 15 but nothing is showing up on the opening screen and/or in the Mods section of the software. So the easiest way to verify if the "Gold Add-On" has been installed correctly and can be used is by starting a new game and then check if the 3rd map can be selected and you can start a new career on it. So you should see the additional content when you got to the shop in the game and open the regular categories, and not when you open the separate "Mods" category.Īfter you installed the "Gold Add-on" you will also be offered a 3rd map to play on (called "Sosnovka") when you start a new career.

Since the "Gold Add-on" is not a Mod like the ones you can install from various sites the contents will not be listed separately as all the mods you might have installed, but will be listed together with all the machines that came with the base game. How did you buy the Gold Add-on? If you bought and installed it via Steam then you won't be prompted for a key, since the verification that you are allowed to use it happens through the Steam client. My comment: We never got prompted to enter a key during installation. So its installed to the base game (you also have to enter a key during installation).

As mods are known what users make for the game, DLC's are what Giants makes as additional content (mostly paid, some free). The "Gold Addon" isn't exactly a mod, it is a DLC. (and maybe what your PC can handle, but that would show in very long loading times when starting the farm sim game and or FPS drops when playing)
There is no Limit as to how many Mods can be added, the only limit is how much free space you have on your harddisc. I'm beginning to wonder if there is some limitation (file size or number of mods) in how many mods one can add to the base program (?) My grandson has installed MANY mods to the program. Why can't we find it and why does it not seem like this new mod has been added to the base program ? When we go to the Mods section of the software, the Gold Package is NOT shown as a mod After about 3 minutes we got a popup message saying "installation successful" We received a message saying something like "please wait while installation occurs" (not word for word but a similar message)

zip or a compressed file - it is an executable file (.exe) and it is quite a large file about 1.3 GB in size. My son recently paid $15 to download a mod called the "Gold Package." The file he downloaded is NOT a. I am in this forum to try and help out my son and my grandson with some new features they are trying to add to their Farming Simulator 15 software, which they have installed on a Compaq PC (Windows 7).
